After that, pour six glasses of water into the jar and close it. Stir the contents with a wooden spatula the following morning after opening the lid. Put the lid back on and keep it aside. Keep repeating this process for 6 more days. Store the jar somewhere dark after 7 days. When the 41 days are up, open the jar and strain the mix to get the arishtam. Cultivation of Gooseberry

The most suitable time to cultivate amla is from June to September. A common method of propagating Indian gooseberry is from seeds, which are reliable and grow fast. There is a wide range of soil conditions that gooseberries tolerate, but they prefer moist, well-draining soil. It is ideal to plant amla on light and medium-heavy soils except for pure sandy soils. Despite its adaptability to dry regions, the tree may also be grown in moderately alkaline soils.  It is said that they grow best and produce sweeter fruit in a sunny location, but can tolerate moderate shade. They can either be planted in the ground or in large containers filled with soil-based compost. At a young age, frequent and ample watering is necessary. When the tree gets established, it does not need to be watered regularly. In the summer, you should water the plant if the conditions are drought-like or during the period of active growth. It is sufficient to water a mature tree 2-3 times a month in the summer.
