Layer one layer of gooseberries in the jar. On top of this add one portion of crushed jaggeries and spices powder. Add some raisins also. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used. After that, pour six glasses of water into the jar and close it. Stir the contents with a wooden spatula the following morning after opening the lid. Put the lid back on and keep it aside. Keep repeating this process for 6 more days. Store the jar somewhere dark after 7 days. When the 41 days are up, open the jar and strain the mix to get the arishtam. There is no need to squeeze the gooseberries. It is possible to store this arishtam for years. This arishtam is perfect for children and adults.
Cultivation of Gooseberry
